It was a wonderful day for the New Gloucester Community Fair for 2022! Cloudless blue skies, wonderful weather, and a great turn out by the community.
A big thank you to all the vendors, volunteers, and New Gloucester Community Fair Committee for making this years fair another success. The wonderful aroma of food was abundant, the music amazing and circulated throughout the fairgrounds. Parking was plentiful, and easy to get in and out of this year.
The kids section was a huge hit and really helped gear this fair for all ages to enjoy. Vendors hit every interest that someone might have, from crafts, to vintage hobby toys, and New Gloucester Hollow Tree Farm produce and meats.
The animals were fun for kids to look at and the education provided by Sparks Ark was a huge crowd pleaser. Not to mention the cheerleading demonstration of our communities kids!
There were numerous raffles for all ages, bikes for kids, a fire pit, ATV’s, and other numerous options available each provided by a different vendor.
A library colouring contest, as well ways to support the Friends of the New Gloucester Library and public committee and services like the New Gloucester Food Pantry. An opportunity to give feedback for BLING (Building Liveability In New Gloucester), calendars and books for sale to support the New Gloucester Historical Society, and numerous political candidates at tables or meeting constituents.
A guest appearance by Santa and numerous others were a fan favourite.
Vendors, crafters and community groups totalled almost 70 this year.
Total fair attendance this year was 1,650 individuals!
Hats of to all those who participated and helped to make this community fair a huge success we couldn’t have done it without you!
